Re: Transmission Problems????
I did encounter similar issues awhile back. My car just wasn't accelerating like it should, especially in the lower gears. I took it in and it turned out my clutch was going. Got it replaced and it's been fine ever since. Not sure if that helps you out, but a failing clutch is a possibility.

Re: Fumes
I think I may have an answer. Do you notice the gas smell only when your tank is past half full?
I have a friend who has similar issues. Mazda mechanic said although there is no obvious leaks, the top part of the gas tank is rusting, therefore the fumes are emitting. They said it can't be repaired ...

Re: Is it my Alternator?
I had some similar idle fluctuation issues. I took it in and had the idle screw adjusted. Took about a good 45 minutes of testing, adjusting and driving before things were back to where things should be.

Hey, I'm new to the site, too. Also in Toronto area. Smart to get a warranty. You just never know what's around the corner. I'm sure you'll have a lot of fun with your GS!

Re: Both of my locks dont work??? help!!!
I had the same problem with my locks. Locked my keys in the car and the CAA/AAA guy who tried to slim jim bent the inner rods in the door. Had to get the panels taken off and the rods straightened. Not perfect, but they work now. Hope this info helps.
