I have just been quoted by Lynch Imports (Mazda Dealer) in Daytona Beach, FL $981.10 for replacing both front drive shafts!
Is it me or is this unbelievably expensive? I expected around $500 and have researched on this forum and found some of you having it done for less than $250!

How much would it cost US$$ to get the front and rear bumpers and mirrors sprayed? would this be somethin that maaco could do as they cant really mess it up can they? especially if i take the parts off the car and just leave them with em so they cant overspray or stuff like that??

It is a manual, an I have had it 18 months and apart from the oil plugs/plug leads and 4 new tyres and rims have changed/fixed nothing. <p>It seems to be running fine but I would much sooner prevent something happening than having to fix it when it does. My 1993 RS has just passed 70,000 miles and I was wondering what service stuff I should be checking. I have replaced the plugs and plug leads in the past 6 months but that is about all. Done!! i checked my wires and found that i had not taped off one of my old wires and it was touching the metal frame. i taped it up and replaced the fuse and everything came back to life. thanks for your help. cheers.
