Re: ProjectB10 - 1993 Eunos Presso HI-XS Special Edition
I have to say, those are the coolest looking wheels I've ever seen on an mx3! I would really love a blacked out set for mine!

Re: Need some mechanics assistance
I did drive it accross the country... So those rings did take a beating. But what leads me to think it's a valve problem is because something was rattling from what sounded like the second exhaust port on the head and it would rattle louder than the exhaust leak (which is the temporary flex pipe ...

Re: Need some mechanics assistance
I get my cylinder head back from the shop next week. I'm starting to lose compression in number two. I changed the idle air control valve and the tps. It made minimal differences, but the little things add up. I have to change the head before I drive up to Rexburg Idaho at the 4 of January. Anyone ...

Re: which way to go on new engine?
Ok :D there are a few options.
Number one: mill up a custom bracket. (coolest option. You'd have an uncommon mod)
Number two: swap compressors. If your k8 compressor is still attached to all the lines then yes, you'll have to properly drain/relieve/remove and replace and recharge (option I'd go ...

Re: which way to go on new engine?
We could've had a party at SuperK's house. My brother and I would towed ours over as well! Maybe someone should open a shop
As for the cursed a/c systems in these k series, which are you referring to as old and new? And if I remember correctly, there is a bracket that goes on first? Any ...

Re: Need some mechanics assistance
I'll have to check the mounts. Didn't think of that, thanks Rob. A few times I've been under there (trying to figure out what is cutting a deep groove on the inner side of my rotor, I can find nothing but pad touching it) I noticed the passenger drive axle seems loose on the transmission side. I don ...

Need some mechanics assistance
I tried asking Elantra forum members, but none of them are as mechanically gifted as most of you guys on here. My Elantra is slowly dying quicker than I can repair it. It won't go in gear very easily, it knocks very loudly when I put it in gear, there is a very loud valve train problem, alternator ...

Re: bp tranny
Cool. That's about an hour away from where the car will be worked on. I found a few junkyards with the tranny's that he needs. I'm sure he will find one suitable for his required application. Thank you everyone for clarifying for me!

Re: bp tranny
I seem to be having a very hard time finding one. People only seem to know about the v6 transmission and have never even heard of a bp engine. I would like to know where to get the tranny that goes with the bp and possibly get some clarification on the difference between the I4 g series and the v6 g ...
