Re: My Electric MX-3
Sorry...I had the engine on Craigslist since I removed the engine from the car. When people found out that it had 281000 km (175000 mi) on it, they quickly hung up! I had to clean the garage, so I scrapped it. I kept a piston as a souvenir if you want that.

Re: My Electric MX-3
I would say bring it to the Kelowna mx-west meet we have every summer but you would'nt make the drive :(
Ha! No, I'd make it to Aldergrove, maybe. That's where my party would have to be!
Out of curiosity how many kilometers do you get on a single charge? Also where did you get all the parts to ...

Heater barely blowing out of vents
I am wondering if there is a common solution to a common problem with my heater.
Even with the fan on HIGH, barely any air blows out of the vents.
-All positions work
-No difference whether it is on FRESH or RECIRC
-The fan itself blows like crazy with the fan box to heater box pipe removed

Re: My Electric MX-3
Nope, the 1.6 wasn't cheaper.
The total build cost me under $4K. I didn't do it to save gas - I did it because it was a cool project. And as a bonus, it is very useful as a commuter now.
Now that it is cold and I use the heater a lot, it's current efficiency is 475-525 watt hours per mile, measured ...

Re: My Electric MX-3
Yes, I live in Surrey, close to Langley City.
This project was meant to be a very low budget EV conversion for my 6-1/2 km (4 mile) commute (each way). Most conversions cost north of $10K and I managed to finish mine at just under $4K, including the price of the car. I had low goals to keep the ...
