Re: General questions about my mx-3 (most potential?)

Thanks a lot for the information guys.
To answer your question Rob (my name is Robert as well ahaha) I'm not even 100% sure what I want.
What I THINK I want is a car that does a good 1/4 mile time, a sleeper to a tee. Someone that can lay down power quick and thats very fun to drive and handles ...

General questions about my mx-3 (most potential?)

I'm not sure if there is a thread already open about this, so excuse me if there is and I will be more than happy to close this thread and continue digging but as it stands I didn't find an exact answer for my questions. There is a quit a bit of questions some may be stupid, so I do apologize in ...

clutch is dying. new engine or what?

I'm going to school this September for automotive mechanic.

I own a 94 gs. Engine seems to be in good shape with 175k on the body and engine and the clutch is dying. I seem to have an issue with my rear back tire as well, almost sound like something is hitting my tire or something.

Install tweeter? Enough room? (Edit..)

EDIT: I'm installing new front speakers for my car and they come with tweeker's. Do you think there is enough room to install them in the doors top framish area? (If its the best spot that is)

Disregart the mispelling of tweeker before. Lol

Hey, I'm wondering if there is enough room to install ...

Re: Sunroof problem - 94 gs

If it's moving at all, chances are the relay itself is fine. The sunroof opens and closes using a slide/track design, which is cable driven(IIRC?), I believe similar in design to the power window regulators. The motor is what does the turning itself, if it's clicking it probably is turning ...

Re: Engine swap (KLZE) - tips for someone that has zero expe

Haha, yeah, I guess it does seem like I'm asking for someone to hold my hand. Sorry then guys, didn't mean to give off that impression.
Love to ask someone here locally for help but personally I have 0 connections other than my mechanic but he's too busy to help out a guy like me.

I updated my ...

Re: Engine swap (KLZE) - tips for someone that has zero expe

Why you looking at buying a trans?

Indeed, beware Tiger Japan, only worth while if you go in person, and you know what you're looking for

I was told by someone on this site I need a new trans if I was going to swap the KLZE in for the k8? Is this not true?

Okay, is there any trusted website I ...

That link will give you all the info you need, also in the V6 FAQ. Do your homework on your engine options, most of it is plug and play and can be done in a full day, but you should plan to be carless for a few days for any issues that might pop ...

Sunroof problem - 94 gs

Hey guys! Not sure if this is the correct place to post this, if so redirect me and sorry about it.

When I purchased my car about 4 months ago the lady that sold it told me said the "sunroof motor" was busted. I did some searching and finding one of these seems to be very difficult, and everyone ...

Turbocharging a k8 - need some advice

Hey guys. I've been doing some reading and I understand that a majority of you do not support ebay turbo's and I understand why -cheap and unreliable.

But here's my reason why I would; very cheap compared to a brand names, not for racing or for show car just for a little fun.
A buddy of mine from ...

Re: Robert Teal (v6 trout) Mazda mx - 3. First project ever

I'm 100% down with not telling them.
Only problem is, is that, when I asked them if I was okay with it they asked what size of an engine do you want to swap in, I said a 2.5L then this guy said one sec, put my on hold, came back and gave me this huge speach as to why It's a bad idea, how they don't ...

Re: Robert Teal (v6 trout) Mazda mx - 3. First project ever

So I have a plan for what I'm going to do with the rust. On the passenger side I'm going to fix it myself, like I said it's not as bad as the picture makes it seems (either of them for that matter). Although, the driver side one is pretty bad and I'm most likely going to see if I can find new parts ...
