I checked again today and I doesn't look like the shifter is resting on the exhaust; it's just loose and rattles when in gear.
I want to try putting in new bushings and see if they fix the rattle but I can't seem to find any online.
Thanks for the replies !

Shifter bushings rattles... etc
Hey there
I've had this issue for a while where I get a lot of vibration / rattle from my shifter when in gear and cruising.
I think it's because the shifter is drooping too low and resting on the exhaust.
I'm looking to replace the bushings and possibly fabricate a bracket to hold it up but I ...

Re: OBDI, OBDII or a mix ??? CEL related.
It's an Innova 3100, not sure how to tell if it's ISO9141 compliant. I'm using the plug on the passenger's side near the center console.
And I checked again, the oxygen sensor on the exhaust is a 4 wire one.

1. It has an OBDII connector on the passenger side, but my reader displays ''error'' when I try to decode it.
2. My car has the diagnosis plug in the engine bay by the firewall ...

Re: 1.8l i4 in an mx3 ?
ah ok I found it weird that the vin decoder told me it was a 1.8 i4 since I couldn't find any info about that engine. Sounds like it's a 1.6 dohc.
Yeah i live in Quebec
Here's my vin if you want to try it out: JM1EC4337T0000000
Thanks for the info
