Re: Anyone with megaSquirt and Spark with a N/A KL?
the thing with MSD is that the coil is being charged with 480V amplifier module (msd6A). The more you raise in rpm, the more the box will drain amps wich goes into load on the alternator. You can buy a digital box over analog as it drain way less juice.

Re: wire coming out of the center of the block under the i/m?
Yeah, most of the Ze comming out there got the knock sensor connector located on the right side on IM. You have to pass the wire to the left on IM to reach engine harness connector of mx3. On mx6/626, this connector is located just above the TB....that's why.

Re: OBD-II pinout
is you ECU's number is K853? I do have the pinout of this, but it's only on a sheet.
Let the connector like that and just pass new wires inside of ECU. You'll have an external connector for the MS and that's the cleanest job you can do. No extra wires in engine bay, just hack new signal through ...

The B6 is the same as KL, except the wiring's differrent. I suggeest you to let the stock ECU in, and just hack the signal you need.

Re: pulling transmission
Lift the car 15" at least, drop the tansverse member, and keep the left engine mount only. This way, the tranny will be pointing down by right side and you'll pull it out easy without grinding the tranny's casing.
This is how I did and Mazda does....
Good luck

Re: what's the right VAF for KLZE
The thing that will determine wich VAF you need isn't the engine..
It's the ECU! if you plan to run a KL03 ECU then you need a KL02 VAF. If you're keeping the K8 ecu. You need the OEM VAF JE50. You know your engine will suck gas as a cow suck milk?? It will also have, when closed loop MAP, a ...
