94 ecu in a 92?

so im trying to get an ecu for my klze, i have a 92 gs, i have heard they require a certain ecu. so with my wtb add johnmx3ze said he has a kl36 ecu that was in a 94 mx3 will that work in my car? if so does anyone know where i can find some sort of explanation on how to swap them out?
