Re: anyone know if these will fit
323 and Ford Escort bars fit. No mods. Same suspension.
Also, the Tockico shocks are from the Escort
and the PowerSlot disks are Escort too
or...
Make your own bars. That seems to be the big thing these days...
RF

Re: Rev limiter.....
leave the rev limiter alone. you can't go any faster at 7K or 7.5k RPMS. You just wear out the engine faster.
Get a turbo
Get some NOS
the rev limiter is a dead end.

Re: B6T
Yes, there's much more to it. Like:
1 - You have to remove the engine you have.
2 - You need to change all of the gaskets on the replacement engine. They're probably as dry as a fart by now.
3 - You should possibly have the turbo re-built
4 - You need to come up with an intercooler
5 - You ...

*WANTED* Ignition Module and Connector 92 1.6L
I need that stupid piece of plastic inside the distributor that connects to the ignition.
It's not the cap or the rotor. It's the part that comes AFTER removing the rotor.
Willing to pay cash....
RF

yuck,
Dude. Forget it. You're wasting your money and time.
The thing will rattle and shake and break off in 6 months.
That I can GUARANTEE you will happen.
Or, worse yet, you'll get stuck in a big-ass rain storm and you'll go through a deep puddle of water in the road and say bye bye to your ...

Re: hesitation???
The O2 sensor in the exhaust... as in the header.
pop that sucker out and get it replaced.
I suggest that you get a big fat tune-up while you're at it. Then, take off the negative battery connector, stomp on the brake for about 10 seconds, then put the connector back on.
The ECU will reset ...

Re: hesitation???
Dude, after a HUGE rainstorm that lasted a few days, I had a nasty problem with hesitation.
I found a problem with the O2 sensor. It was all clogged up. I sprayed the sucker with a little bit of B12 Chemtool Carb Cleaner.
The gunk came off and it was all good.
Also, I have an Air/Fuel Meter on ...

to learn about the engine, repairs, maintenance, customizing, etc. The MX3 is a great lttle car to work on. The engine, electronics and internals are very forgiving.
I've made some mistakes, but overall the mods have been easy to make.
So, I take away the learning experiences from the MX3. Just ...

LIFE AFTER MX3? WHAT'S NEXT?
What would you all get after you run your MX3 into the ground (or sell it)???
The MP5 is silly with the back seat. It needs to be a 3-door coupe and it should be named MX3!!! Re: Turbo in 1.6 SOHC
YUP! I am slowly finding out these very things myself.
The problem is that your (my) starting point is a very, very weak platform. The engine is rated at 88HP at the flywheel, you can only imagine how much is lost when it it gets to the wheel. Worst yet, if you have slapped on 17inch rims like I ...

Yep, you guys are right.
