Yea its unreal how hard it is to get off, I cut the clamp to get the tranny out....when the tranny was out I used a screwdriver through the passener side and BAM.....it came off...
Well I had to take a few days off but finished the tranny swap and I took my car out today....YEA for me....ran OK ...

I was suppose to pick the Tranny up Yesterday......but no call from the Junk Yard.......today I called the Guys and they kept delaying me saying the Tranny wasn't out yet........so I told the guys I only had today to pick it up....

Is that the metal "boot" (for lack of the correct term) for the driver side axle attached to the tranny below the hole in your pic ?????
I couldn't get it off either so I snipped the clamp off the rubber boot and covered it with a plastic bag to remove it and just removed the rest of the axle ...

I just got mine out the other day........it's harder than I thought, not much room in the engine bay to get it out of there once it was un-bolted.......I dropped mine down

thanks npspears for the advice.......I needed a little pep talk, I got all the tools..............taking the axle off the wheel is the way to go...once it was off it just slid out of the tranny..I should add some pics and put this into the worklogs section......LOL

OMG 2 days on the axle....this cant be really happening to me......LOL...
ima get that thing off tomorrow.haha.....building an airplane might be easier than this axle.........

Do i have to remove the bolt (("on the outside of the tire")) to get the axle off????? the online manual dosnt say when it comes to removing just the tranny............help.................

Thanks shameem for the great links, I dont have much time so ima put in the Auto Tranny $350.00 and fluid cooler (from Autozone $59.00) and hope for the best,

Hey shameem, I did the fluid and filter change and nothing, I took the Diag. Box apart from the bottom to see if it had a wire going to the TAT and it didn't.....................
I have both an ATX and an MTX lined up at junk yards, I dont want to spend the xtra coin on the MTX and cant figure out ...

Dali.......so your Tranny was fine and your TC went???? after replacing the TC with the old Tranny the car is fine???? what were the symptoms when your TC went????
