Re: Solid lash adjuster from a 2000 and up 626 KLG4 2.5L m

Pros and Con's

You can change a HLA into a solid lifter by removing the guts out of the HLA and putting a dowel
pin ground to the correct lenght back in place..

ticking can ocurr with a valve to lifter gap of 0.002" or more..

pulling your HLA's apart and cleaning them out will stop ticking as ...

Re: Engine modding, Help appreciated

Sell the Nos kit and build a turbosetup..

The k8 has the smallest journals of all the K series cranks, and will not interchange into KL / KF blocks
a low psi setup and a aftermarket fuel management system and a good tune your away laughing..

I have my book of figures somewhere around here...

You ...

however on the distrubutor side, kicking around this site is how to wire in the later
model distrubutor that will run a external coil without modifing the distrubutor cap..

check the basics fuel, fire and air...

Re: Making mx-3 gears shorter ... how? Changing transmission?

No my motor is not boosted. I will take pictures of it after the weekend.
As I called some of my friends that have used car parts I managed to find a cheap gearbox from MAZDA XEDOS 1.6 and as far as my opinion is concerned I think that gearbox from xedos will be in much better condition than the ...

Re: Making mx-3 gears shorter ... how? Changing transmission?

Vansolrick Thanks :)
I have a different problem at the moment - my gear box died - and it's a second gear box so I'm afraid I won't get the chance of trying different ratios (costs to much) - at the moment I'm trying to find Any GEARBOX that is tougher than the OEM one.

The problem that I'm ...

Re: 14.5in protege klde *update*

How long is a peice of string.

14.5 for a daily driver is not shabby considering the gross weight of a 323/protege is
just over the 1000kg mark.

One low cost feature that will lower your times is travel limit straps on the front suspension.
stops you popping the front of the car up getting out of ...

I can't remember the socket size however for the new knock sensor you need to cut a
slot in the socket to allow the wiring out while tightening / torquing otherwise use
a crowsfoot spanner..

.050 and also intake and exhaust opening and closing BDTC ATDC and all that jazz.

I know a number of sites list figures how ever they are not matching mine?

Re: Transmission From Heck 33 and 1/3

I rarely deal with autoshops but when I do and they "claim" for want of a better word to have fitted
new parts I get them to show me all the old parts first! even if they have to dig them out of the bin!

I do know from a little bit of playing about with the trans external coolers can cause pressure ...
