Your oil cooler leak is from the water housing. Just replace the entire oil cooler housing. You may have to pull the cooling fans off to get better access to the bolts and hoses. Whenever someone tells you need to do something to the car, research it. Google if you must.

Stick with it, she's close to being reliable again....I think.
If it doesn't work out, what I would do is take off all the MS parts, put a K8 in it and sell it, and store the MS parts until you find a clean rust-free California MX3 with low(ish) miles and start over.

You can now add ARP head studs as well. Kit number is 218-4704, which contains the studs, nuts and washers and they are available now apparently.

To the best of my knowledge, all mx3, mx6, and 93-95 Probes had the same 4.10 final drive. The 96/97 Probes had the 4.38 final drive.

Have you done a compression test? 89mph is a little low for a healthy KLDE (and modded like yours) in a (throwing a wild guess here) 2600 lb car with you in it.
