Re: Pressing front wheel bearings

Hi, they look very much the same as my old ladys impreza, 1st time i did one it was a pig of a job. I made some packers and pressed it out in a vice, while heating the hub up. Refitting left the new bearing in the freezer for a few hours, warmed the hub up, it then slid in with a light tap to seat ...

Re: engine dies/problems

Have you removed the fuel pump out of the tank and checked the strainer, i had a similar problem last year, cleaned the tank, blew the fuel lines out, changed fuel filter. It now rev's it's "nuts" off, i was surprised how much crap was in the tank. When it's run then stopped can you smell unburnt ...

Central Locking not working!!

I have a problem with the central locking not working. Bought the car last year as a project (95, V6), but due to little time progress is slow. Removed door cards, drivers side has a after market acuator for the alarm. But the alarm doesn't work. there is a square 4 pin connector empty and a 3 pin ...

I have the same problem, mine is the 1.8 v6 on a 95, i have removed the plastic shroud around the column, there is a cut out in the shroud but no lever. Cannot see how it adjusts so i can lift it. Looks like a visit to scrapyard in the near future to try and get an idea. :confused2: My old ladys got ...

Re: REAR TAIL LIGHTS FUSE BLOWING!!

Thanks for all your input, removed the radio today, found what looked like a spiders web behind it. Lights now work fine, will have to rewire the radio  , may even treat it to a new one :!:

Had a play today, fault somewhere in the dash, rear loom ok. If i take one off the connector blocks off just above the fuses on the main fuse board in the footwell, fuse dose't blow, got to check back to see what this is to. Gone cold now try again Friday.

Checked back from tail lights, rearlight down to earth. Split main loom on connector above rear wheel arch, this part clear, tested back to fuse box, down to earth. Try again Friday weather permitting, i reckon it's got to be rubbing on the chassis somewhere? Slow going i'm colour blind, 12yr old ...

Cheers for that bit of info, how do you remove the rear lights, i can see one screw that retains the unit, but it seems reluctant to move. I don't want to force it to much in case i've missed something.
P.s i should have mentioned when i put the fuse in then turn the lights on, the fuse blows ...

REAR TAIL LIGHTS FUSE BLOWING!!

I have a 95 1.8 v6, bought it off ebay, the problem it has is the 10 amp fuse that keeps blowing. Ive removed most of the internal trim checking for any shorts. ( i think at some time it has a rear end shunt) Cannot see anything out of the ordinary, has anyone got any ideas before i start ripping ...
