Also I forgot to mention. I havnt seen a MIL ever since i put the KL36 in. I think that I would have had to have seen it when the engine was misfiring (open in an ignition wire). No EGR or Cat codes either (although im not sure wed see one on an OBD1 system?)

Okay. Thanks guys.
I will start with your sugestions:
-Coolant temp sensore
-I will clean the IAC
-Look for possible Intake leaks
-The O2 sensor is old, will replace as maintenain item

When you swapped from your K8 to the KL31, did you notice drivablity issues that you used to have, were now gone? Did it fix a richness, intermitent stall, and high idle issues?

On my 92 MX-3 KLZE with KL08 ECU i pull code 17 daily. I think all KLZEs would pull that code due to there tendancy to run rich.

Here our my test results from a 4 gas exhuast analyzer on m 92 mx-3 ZE.
Idle
HCs - 1722ppm
CO% - 10.90
O2% - 0.9
CO2% - 9.8
A/F Ratio - 10.5:1
The results do not change with pcv unhooked.
IMO this excessively rich. I notice the complaints about fuel economy and this swap. But something is really ...

What do you guys think? I'm in dire need of an ecu and pick n pull has been dry for the last month or so.
