No my car is a manual. Im sorry for not being clear but the current setup I have swapped BOTH sensors, which are 3 wires, the one I have that is pictured just happens to be 4 wires. I was just trying to show the difference between a new and old style sensor in case someone didn't know.

I know this tread is old BUT...i bought on of these motors off ebay($575) with shipping and the compression is great. this was for my 93mx3 sohc swap,and this is what I know.
the tps wiring cap is different(for mine,its a 93 miata engine) than from a usa protege lx, it has to be swapped and rewired ...

no cracks in tubing. I did find something important tho. my water temp sensor wires are not plugged in...but unfortantely, I cant find the wires in the harness that lead to the sensor :shock: . the harness is from a junkyard so that could explain why. Also hooked the injectors up to a noid light. #4 ...

vacuum is all good. when I unplug the tps wires altogether, it starts running better(somewhat)...mmm but it still isnt quite right and the humming still continues.

Well I know the injectors are perfect cause Ive replaced them and its from a manual and uses a 4 prong, its just a oval cap instead of rectangle shape. I will check the vacuum and see if thats the case.

One on left is what came from a protege harness and the right(which im using) came with the engine. the wires on both are different colors so i guessed on 2 of them. I then swapped the two wires but it ran just as bad ...

i tried from the dealer and they couldnt get one so i just went to a wrecking yard and pulled one out myself for $5 and it works fine so far. dealer probably waaayyy more than $5 tho.
