I had the same problem man! I spent about 900-1000 dollars getting my mx-3 up and running again and that still didn't fix it! After awhile it just started to lose power and then one morning it just wouldn't start, i replaced the spark plugs even though they didn't need it and it still didn't work ...

Ok as some of you may know i bought an 95' 1.6 mazda mx3 RS and so many things were fixed on it,

New Radiator
Fuel Pump
Fuel filter
Front Axle
Timing belt and it was adjusted
New Head job and valve job
and some other little things

however it says my car can get up to 150mph however it struggles ...

Yeah I'm going to be helping work on it, i'm pretty new to cars i only now how to do the easy things, but I'm learning from a friend how to do things. It would kill me if i took it into a shop... labor and all so i think its cheaper this way. As long as it gets back on the road and doesn't die on me ...

well it sounds like a lot of work, and money... this is the only car I have so i don't have the time to take things out or swap anything... Winter is coming up so it makes it harder. Would the new head gasket help? Thanks!

So if the motor is overheated is it never going to be fixed unless i replace the whole thing? Or would the headgasket work any? Awhile back the radiator was shot and the car did overheat really bad the car died all the time, but before the radiator went out the car still died but only in the morning ...
