Re: Mx3 94, KLZE - Rollercoaster idle & running hot
Nice to hear :)
Havent fined tuned the idle yet, had rather high idle before to keep it alive, atm its around 1000rpm and steady. runs really good now, i actually thinks its getting better and better.
gonna adjust the ignition timing and idle this weekend, damn im happy that it finally runs smooth ...

Re: Mx3 94, KLZE - Rollercoaster idle & running hot
Im getting closer!
i plugged that pipe and bled the coolant and been driving it with normal temp for 2 hours now, and idle got alot better, but there is still some problem with the idle, but now only when i turn the steering wheel , if i turn it all the way left or right it idle 300-500rpm higher ...

Re: Mx3 94, KLZE - Rollercoaster idle & running hot
Ok, i checked that weird pipe out a bit... heres a picture, right under the disty, then it goes up a bit just above the termostat housing... small metal cylinder sitting on the housing with 2 nipples, one nipple goes to the pipe and other nipple goes to the IAC, couldnt get a good picture

Re: Mx3 94, KLZE - Rollercoaster idle & running hot
I think i could have connected a coolant hose wrong, i just noticed i installed the hose going to the water reservoir into a small metal pipe right under the distributor. That hose should be on top of the radiator i assume, on the small nipple. but where should this small metal pipe go to then ...

Re: Mx3 94, KLZE - Rollercoaster idle
UPDATE: had to check the IAC at my coffee break, and without it the car ran like cr*p, so that means the IAC is ok i assume.
I do think i heard a hissing sound close to the VRIS, check the hoses around there and they seemed fine, also the canister and the Purge hoses seems OK.

Re: Questions: Knock sensor cable? KLZE ECU direct fit?
Ok, ive tried reading up on the ecus and if i understand correctly i might need to install another temp sensor to not get the "fan always on"-problem, is there any way around this problem except installing another sensor?

Re: Questions: Knock sensor cable? KLZE ECU direct fit?
Thats cool, i dont like rewiring that much
Ive read somewhere that kl36 is for auto transmission, but mine is manual, should i go for a kl36 anyways or is the kl31 recommended then?

Questions: Knock sensor cable? KLZE ECU direct fit?
Hey,
i made the KLZE swap few year ago, and gonna start fixing some minor problems now.
First of all my Knock sensor cable broke, i do not know how, the connector fell off and found it laying around in the engine bay, and all i can see is 1 red cable comming from the knock sensor, looks like a coax ...
