Hello everyone,

I had an accident and was hit front, with the love I have to MX3, decided to repair damage, identified was determined that crossmember Suspension and Shifter Linkage should be replaced.

Reviewing parts supported the suspension crossmember note that is compatible with the 90-94 1.8L Mazda Protege, in the junkyards of my country (Guatemala) only found MX3 1.8L V6 and it is not the same crossmember.

My question:
1 -. The Mazda Protege 90-94 crossmember is compatible without any modification?
2 -. The Shifter Linkage Protege/323 90-94 Mazda is compatible without any modification?

the crossmember itself should be compatible.

I would use the 1.8l V6 crossmember. it will be a bit of an upgrade from what you have if you get the crossmember and the crossmember reinforcement.

The only difference is the 1.8l V6 MX-3 has four threaded holes for the reinforcement bar to bolt on to.

It also seems the protege crossmember is the same as yours.


The shift linkage for the 1.8l MX-3 is EA0346060, seems GS specific.

The shift linkage for the 1.6l is B45546060


The "compatible" list shows:

Mazda 323 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994
Mazda 323 S 1995
Mazda MX-3 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996
Mazda PROTEGE 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994
Mazda PROTEGE S 1995
