How hard would it be to swap the cluster from an 323f 97 model in an mx-3?
So that you can have illuminated needles......
323 gauge cluster in an mx-3
Re: 323 gauge cluster in an mx-3
97 would be an OBD2 cluster so your car needs to be 96 or 97. my 5 cents

I know you believe that you understand what you think I said but I'm sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

Re: 323 gauge cluster in an mx-3
Hmm, yeah the digital distance counter could be a problem.
Als the sensor's etc. However the OBD-1 and OBD-2 mx-3 use the same cluster.
What about an mx-6 cluster?

Re: 323 gauge cluster in an mx-3
I just re-compared the two, a 92 vs 96. Both clusters look very similar but the circuit on the back lh side is different from one to the other as are the part numbers for each cluster. Just sayin.Jforce wrote: However the OBD-1 and OBD-2 mx-3 use the same cluster.

OBD 1 and 2 look very close to the same, but they are different... OBD1 and 2 wiring harnesses are comnpletely different in the Mx3's...Jforce wrote:Hmm, yeah the digital distance counter could be a problem.
