my mazda mx3 has a V6 1.8 K8 engine but with a blown head gasket for 2 months, I don't have enough saving to fix it first, so I'm still driving it around, but mostly 15mins to work. is it gonna be a big problem?

Any way I'm thinking swap it to a V6 2.5 KLZE engine, i'm arranging to get the engine soon,
wt's the price range for a mechanic to do it?
any extra parts do i need? since I have everything(hoses, cable wtever) intact and works perfect except the gasket inside.

I'm from Sydney, anyone share previous experience are appreciated. Cheers.

Sydney Aussieland? To answer your one question, don't even tell the mechanic its a different engine just ask him to ensure it's set up the same as your K8 and you'll be fine (vac hoses, etc). You should have a new timing belt, adjuster and water pump installed as it's easy with the motor out of the car. At least have a new water pump put in. If you can get new o2 sensors as well. Once he installs it have him set the TPS and idle. Reset your ECU and drive your *ss off.
