simple, can I do this?


A guy is selling an msd timing retard kit, it comes with the box and the knob..he had it on a pgt which was not running.


according to the diagram it says i need to get either a (white signal wire( or a magnetic picup commection.

Any ideas, tips? Id like to retard my timing around 2 degrees .

Hmm, can't you just do it manually in diagnostic mode and turn the disty?

I was thinking of that, but then again that palces the car in test mode, I dont know what are the downsides of running the car like that forever. As soon as ten and gnd is unjumpered the ecu corrects timing on its own.

The point for doing the adjustment in diagnostics mode is do that it doesn't compensate after you take it out of it. The ECU isn't always right, so this way is a type of manual correction.
