local tuner doesnt want to tune with megasquirt..

Hey!
i'm planning on going turbo maybe this summer. im wondering what else is out there for engine management beside megasquirt cause the best tuner around doesnt want to deal with megasquirt...
im just planning to start with low boost but prob gonna push it more later down the road.

well if you care about what he thinks enough to not get megasquirt then ask him what he would recommend and get that.

i dont realy have a choice to care about what he think... he's basicaly the only one the can tune around where i live so i dont have much choice if i want my car tu be tuned.

yeah i know that... but i wanted him to fine tune the engine on the dyno... something i cant do my self..
anyway I was just asking what else people are using for standalone on mx-3

what are you running? what are your goals? what will the guy work with? AEM, Hydra, Motec? How much money ya got?
IF you even need a stand alone. The
real units out there can run you over a thousand for an entry level, universal kit. Then add on $$$ for every option. There is a reason why people use MS. Best thing to do is street tune it, take it to the dyno and you should be familiar enough with it by then to do it yourself. If you have a WB, you can do a pretty darn good tune on your own. as long as you are smart about it.

currently im just running a ZE whit bolt on..
i wanna do a small psi turbo setup this summer... next summer build the motor and run more boost. would like to be around 300hp.

Who f'n cares if it's made for us or not. The thing about universal stuff, is that you can put it on damn near anything. PnP does not exist, just like the MSNS that you would have used.

I know I can make it work... but they are damn more expensive than ms.
