So Im trying to figure out why all of my engine core plugs are leaking!!

I stopped the cam cores from leaking, I installed a new front main seal and it started to leak immedieatelly?!

My read main seal leaks drops to the clutch.. I got the seal now.

Now can this be because I have my pcv system completely vented
?

but if I connect it.. wont I be boosting the crankcase??

my friend in his boosted de mx3 has blow 3 engines... he has the pcv valve connected properly to the im but he i venting the other part of the pcv.

I on the other hand have not blown any engines.. just seals.. what gives?

so are we supposed to have the pcv or not? for boosted cars.

The PCV valve is a check valve. It only allows pressure out of the case...not in. So no you would not be boosting the crankcase. If you're blowing a lot of seals there's a good chance that your rings are gone.

you want to equalize the pressure in the crankcase. Get a catch can.. or 2. It will remove the oil from any blow by and reduce the pressures blowing your seals

If your worried about, buy the PCV off of the 88 GTX, the B6T.

Did you get the seal in all the way, i know its a dumb question BUT it could happen, maybe a dent in the corner of the seal or cockied.

from what i recall is the valve from the B6T is stiffer, where the stock B6 or BP PCV will have a tendancy to prematurly wear out.

i have the pcv valve in the valve cover (just a NA BP pcv), but no lines on it and a breather filter on the side of the valve cover, i haven't had any problems, but i would like to run a vented catch can.
