Hey, am looking at a KLZE. Was just wondering if it is a true KLZE - have heard of people getting ones that look similar but are not. So yeah, real or not real? Is there a way to check without having to check the heads?

Looks like a KLZE to me, however, a true KLZE is a straightneck IMHO, kl31 cams are the way to go. Get a straight neck and you cant go wrong, then just buy a curved neck IM for it.

yeah in my own opinion a curved neck ZE is almost like a KLDE.... might as well take your money and buy a DE and build it up.

ya they pretty much covered it. you have like a 50/50 chance of it being a true klze seeing as how ull be paying for shipping and if it turns out to be a de then youl have to ship it back and gunna cost ya alot of $$$ so u might as well buy a straight nect then buy like a millenia IM and u know for sure it the real s---.

So if I get the straight neck KLZE, and throw a curved neck intake manifold on, I won't have to swap out injectors or anything will I? It would just be bolt on right?

All 2.5's or as i should say KL use the same injectors.
Definitly get a straight neck and swap curved neck manifold on it, make sure you get the correct throtle body for the curve neck because its 60mm compared to the k8 which is 55mm and it will affect the performance of the motor.

Doesn't the curved neck COME with the correct TB??

A straight neck can actually fit in a MX3 though with some modifications
When you guys say millenia IM, do you mean as a millenia IM from a KLZE engine (J-Spec Millenia)?
Whats the difference between a curved neck ZE and a DE I/M?

Exactly. The curved-neck Millenia DE has square runners like a ZE, it's one of the reasons why the Millenia is rated for 170hp rather than 165hp

Nothing wrong wth Tiger Jap at all..I had probably one of teh cleanest ZE's on this entire website and it came from Tiger. I went and looked at the motor they were selling me and it was infact a true straight neck klze.

I've known people to buy a Curve neck manifold used and it never had a throtle body, sure you can use a k8 but its smaller.
