CAI off ebay

So almost all the CAI off ebay say 93and up but what about 92, someone said it will work but why doesnt any get one of them off ebay?
My only guess that its a gineric cai, nothing made specifically for the mx3, but for the kl motor, and the mx3 was the only car to get k series motor before 93.
