so i finally took my Escort GT to the drag strip... a fairly complete mod list is in my signature. i'm running 15psi now, still with just a street tune... and i ran on my street tires (300 treadwear rating summer tires).

i pulled a 14.315 @ 107.5 mph, my second run ever in my life (i had never been to the track before). my 60' was a horrid 2.6. pulled a 2.3 the next run but missed a shift. my first run was pretty amusing... traction pwned me... 17.0 @ 105 . that time slip sure confused people though...

anyway i picked up some BFG drag radials and i'm going back this friday if it doesnt rain. any thoughts on what kind of ET's i should be running? i've still got a stock transmisson (no LSD), and i should be making somewhere in the realm of ~250whp right now.

With some more practice and traction that trap is good for a 13 flat about. Good luck next time.

13 flat?! that'd be nice...

my eventual goal for the car is to get it into the 12's, once i can get a good dyno tune and run ~20psi :)

Yeah man I know mad people that run low low 13s with a trap speed like that. And if you can get that 60' down to 2.0 that would take roughly 1.2 seconds off of your ΒΌ mile.

Wow man thats a kickass mph. Just get soem practice on gettin it off the line. You may need some slicks to get the puppy to hook as well

You've got a fast car.

Sounds to me like an axle breaker. 250whp and drag slicks... I see shattered diffs and broken axles in your future- well I hope not acutally, but I would look into upgrading your axles at least.
