My new sub has arrived, just in time to get a little breaking in done. Who here thinks i should just toss in the 2 new kicker 2500 watt amps I have laying around collecting dust.

152.6db is nice but can an mx-3 go louder? That is the question that I think I need to find out.

well i didn't put them in and got beat. I hit 150.2 car that beat me used 2 12" subs hit 150.7

Second show was in westfield mass I hit 149.9 after a sub swap. Tried a single 2500 watt and hit 149.7 versus my 2 1200 watt amps. I think its time to heat things up a bit. So im putting them in.

LOL, you Db buys are funny. Always swapping speakers and amps in the never ending search to find something louder than a A-bomb. sorry to hear that you lost, but I'm sure that will end soon.

Yah being down by only 2/10ths a db with a single amp is great. Means I should get a nice 2db gain with both amps. Hopefully i'll hit a 152 on the dash this coming weekend. That will give me a really nice cushion for a while.

Hey you forgot swapping cars also, I just bought a ford festiva to use as a "wall" car. Keeping my mx-3 of course just didn't want to do a wall in as it's my everyday driver now.

Gonna run 2 15" or 18" subs and 4 1200 watt kickers with a wall behind the front seats and a port you can walk into A-bomb material indeed.
