I would cut the exuast right after the Y pipe and redirect the flow up to the turbo, than from the turbo back down to the other end of the exaust were the flex pipe starts before the cat..of course i have to work out the VAF ,blow of valve location and oil llines and such..plus the secure mounting of the tc itself. Now i have not actually went out to the car to see if it would even be possible , and to ssee how many bends and turns i would need in the custom exaust if it was possible. If you search this site for Sean Matthews, he has a turbo KLZE. The dimentions are the same so his setup would work with your K8. A turbo K8 will produce more power than a KL03. Also remember, if you turbo your K8 and want more power down the line, you can always transfer the turbo setup from the K8 to the KL03 if you decide to buy one.

Yes, the KL03 is 160HP a turbocharged K8 should produce 200+hp.

Antawn, I don´t think that you could place the turbo where the battery is with the exhaust setup that you suggest (up after the Y-P and then down again) There are a lot of vacuum tubing, brake lines, little room,... and it's so near of the intake manifold, intake tubing, Vaf,... So anyone could ruin all this components with this excessive heat.I don´t belive in all this usually seen turbo setups that place the turbo beside the distributor,so I decided to put it in a logical turbo place, that is below the first cylinder block. If you take your front bumper and radiator out and throw an eye there, the first limitation you can see is the oil filter. If you take it out right with it´s housing, a lot of more room appears. I´m installing a T3 water-cooled there, with the downpipe passing below all the belt driven components (With heat-shields no exhaust wrap!) (hope you know what I mean) and for the collector pipes I use the same setup that Mazda maniac does, but with the opposite direction. I only need to weld the headers and finish my oil filter relocation kit, as for now I have all the intercooling, intake piping and fuel delivery and managment done. I´´m going to have a small web space available soon, where I´ll post all the photos of my setup.
Another Issue: How many are already working on a TC setup on a K engines (K8 and KL)?
Just for curiosity!
