Need help identifying block code...

Okay, while I have yet to be able to go over where my j-spec motor is and look at the heads, runners, etc. I have talked to the guy who I had it delivered to. He doesn't seem to be able to find the head codes (which does and doesn't concern me, he doesn't know where/what exactly he is looking for). BUT, he did get a block code. I have been searching for a simular block code on the site and haven't found one. Here is what he gave me as a block code:

KL275350

Anyone have any idea which motor this?? Let me know.

He doesn't know where the head is? Are you serious? If I recall, head code is around the area above the power steering pump ......... ON THE HEAD!

Yeah, he knows what the head is. BUT, he doesn't know where KL31 Stamp is on the head. I guess I will look for it tonight or tomorrow.

KL31 is very hidden on the head with the intake on it (you can BARELY make out the 3 and can see "1-101") AND is on the throttle body! HEHEHE. Time to start the swap :welder:

That's great Barry, but could you change "MS8" to Millenia? The MS8 is a straight manifold.

No- The MS8 is a car of its own with a straight neck ZE. It does not have a curved neck manifold. I don't know how or why but it became law that the MS8 was a millenia and had a curved neck manifold. All of that is completely false. Just trying to stop this perpetuating misinformation.

it's easier to look at the code on the FRONT head..no manifold in the way..you can CLEARLY see it :)

Here's a New Zealand MS8 for sale, definitely looks like a Millenia to me. However, it does have the straight (in this case, KLZE) manifold.
So you both are right. :D

Since the MS8 and Millenia are apparently the same body and the U.S. car gets the curved manifold, I can understand why people say MS8 when they intend to refer to the curved manifold.
