how wide can your tire be

hay im loohing to get some new rims for my mx3. i am going to put 15-6.5 and i was wondering the with you can go up to with out having to do n e altercations. i have 14-6 with a with of 185. if u could give me n e advice on this that would be great thanks

I believe you can go up too 215 on a 17" rim, without rubbing against the wheel well. (Don't quote me though)...

I've had 17x7 and a 42 offset konig impacts for 4 years now. originally I had 215 nittos, but I went back to 205s

You shouldn't have any probs with 15's, but if you want to use low profile tyres you should really use bigger wheels
