LOL... so you and solo ryder have some of the cleanest looking mx-3's on the site... I also spy identical VC's and IM paint I did a double take as I thought it was his engine bay (until I looked closer and saw a fat turbo lol)

What is the purpose of the TB extender?

once again, nice job it looks amazing!! In addition to your car being crazy fast, it's also a showcar!

I've had that color scheme on the engine powder coat for about 3 years. The TB extender is there because I have a bored out KL31 TB on my curve neck IM. It was the only way to make it fit because of the IAC. The KL31 was a remnant of my old probe that stayed for the MX3. It's bored to 70mm and at the time it was a lot easier to have an extension made than get someone to make me a 70mm KL47 TB. I've grown to like the TB extension. Eventually I'll repowdercoat the IM and do the TB, TB extension, and IC piping to match. Probably in the same color it is now.

If I swap colors there's been some talk of going gold vein to match the black/gold theme of the car.


EDIT: Just went and looked at Solo's car. Nice looking car, I like the silver color. His engine reminds me of mine when it was an all motor ZE. It was a really fun all motor car.
