your theory seems flawed to me. let's say you have a 2" diameter 2' long cold air intake and the intake is currently full of warm air. your engine would have to suck in 75.36 cubic inches of warm air before the cold air would reach the throttle body. o.k. so we want to add another intake so that the cold air gets there faster. same example but 2 pipes both 2" diameter and 2' long. your engine would have to suck in 150.72 cubic inches of air before the cold air would get there.
you said one was more of a short-ram but the theory still stands. you are still adding more volume to the intake. i'm not bashing you or anything, that's just the way i see your intake working.
