When I get my car lowered do I need to go get camber bolts or does the shop doing the alignment supply them

Either way you'll be charged for the bolts. If you are pretty sure your tire shop won't ream you, you can always just have them supply them, because not every wheel may need them.

Agreed with Lakers, I needed 4 of them ended up costing me 50$ per side.. Rip off. Get some off eBay or try to find your own, if you are lowering I would recommend that you get camber bolts for the best alignment and ride.

tire size means nothing without rim width, diameter and offset.
rim width, diameter and offset is only half the story.

Those tires are on Motegi DP-6 rims

215/40/17 is the wrong size for a 17in rim its a 205 that you need. If you have a 205/40/17 you will be fine. I run with that size and a got tokico blues and they are close but no rubbing.

No. 215/40/17 is actually closer to the stock diamter than a 205/40/17. The 205/40 is a little too small diamter for proper speedo reading.

Well i put the stock tire side by side with my new tires (215/40ZR17) and they are totally off i mean they are a full inch taller when compared side by side

Do you have a 4 cyl or V6?

If you've got a V6, the stock tires are .1 inch taller still than a 215/40/17

for a 7" wide wheel id stick to a 205 with the correct profile. anything wider is wasted tread. for 8" id probably stick with the 205, possibly 215 but more like 205 so theres less sidewall flex and more precise handling.

i am pretty sure the 17x7 in +42 will work fine because many people have used that size wheel with no issues. personally id choose a lower offset tho cuz i think it looks better and it also gives you more room between the struts and the inside of the wheel lip when you go a bit wider than stock. that is always a good idea in case you want to get wider tires later, u have less worries about rubbing.
