Pacer is a lame a** program setup by the Toronto Police to "educate" "racers" about the dangers of street racing and illegal modifications.<p>It's basically a bullsh*t PR thing for the police forces in this area to use to show they are doing something against street racing.<p>It's funded by tax-payers at some level through the various police forces. The website claims "This Vehicle has been made possible by Honda Canada".<p>That may be true but I have a hard time believing that Honda would pay for all the modifications for them.

Honda knows that parents consider it a perfect first car for the kids, they don't wan't the street racer/death moniker hanging on them. It's just good PR for them to hook up on a program like that. they look concerned, are taking action, and keep selling a sh*t load of cars ...IMHO
