i've tinted my car a while back and they couldn't paint over the small bubbly things on the hatch.

I had these on my old cavalier. The best way I found to get the tint around those bubbles is to tint in the middle of summer. ASfter the window is tinted let it sit in the sun & get that back window nice & hot, then from the inside use the squeege to smooth out the tint. It worked for me. It was very time consuming but well worth it.

i got 5% on the rear hatch of my first mx. Reduced the night time visibility too much that I had to pay to get it removed.

I've tinted my old car, and plan to tint my mx, but i want it to be a good job, and it looks like that hatch will be a pain to tint...
I was wondering how most of you guys get your tint done... do you have a pro do what they do, ive been told they dip it, or spray it or something... or do you use the roll on stuff yourslef??

I got mine done for a $125, but it's not warranted since it's illegal! that's the downfall, cops around here aren't picky at allllll. As long as you don't do Incredibly STUPID stuff then your ok.

So rope, your sayin I can tint my windows and won't get hasseled when I get to florida?

I have a 13" visor on my car and have been pulled over a couple times and once by a STATE TROOPER!!! Never said a word about it. If you aren't all being a **** about being pulled over no matter the cause or just in general then they're actually friendly people. just be respectful and act along, If you were doing something incredibly ILLEGAL like street racing and get caught...Endangering peoples lives and all that jazz. then they'll most likely say something to you.And if your nervous as you get pulled over , just roll down your window so it lets light in the car and they won't say anything. That's why cops fear such dark tint cause they can't see what you have. So ust rool down the window or not, but MOST of the police officers I have encountered told me they don't care. I have never been asked to remove it, I live in a county with the most cops per person in the STATE of FLORIDA!!! you'll pass them goin down the road every other minute seriously, speed really isn't an issue here either unless your weaving in and out of traffic.You'd be good down here, your Definately gonna need it for summer when your parked. I got 5% in the back, 5% in the side windows and 15% tint bands on the windshield.. I love tint. I have gotten a bunch of tickets and I still refuse to take it off! Besides, there making more money ticketing me all the time then they would be if I had no tint.

i think i have 25% on mine & 35 % on the sides dark engouh for me

with a black interior it looks darker

i personally dont like 5% because i had that on my old car & could not see where i was goin@ night............

Good info rope...I am definately going to get tints when it warms up here. I suppose I will have to get my A/C recharged as well. lol!
