Re: installed a short shifter..WOW
the twm shifter is about 35 % shorter and the shifting ball..i dont know what oyu call it, it lower. so you get better leverage. But the service from them was great. Easy to install!

Not a good thing...
Anyway, I'd like to go with something shorter perhaps, but one that also reduces the throws as much as the B&M. I don't know much about this TWM shifter, although it sounds a lot like the B&M. To those that have it: did it actually reduce the height significantly? How does shifting feel with it?
Wil, didn't you say that the new MP5 shifter fit our car?

http://www.mx-3.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=1&t=002751

Re: installed a short shifter..WOW
I have a mP3 shifter in my car...its sweeeet and properly designed specifically for our car.
All 1990-present Protege/323 and MX3 shifters are the same, so any of them will fit.
Here is a pic of my MP3 shifter w/the MP3 knob (the stock knob doesn't fit..its threaded differently):

I had a video online of how short the throw is..but i don't know wtf happened to it. Got deleted.
