Personally out of the two I greatly favor the KYB's. The Tokiko's used to have a really bad rep, but have gotten better. Riding in both, I still favor the KYB's.

I have replaced my factory ones (KYB's) with KYB's from rockauto. They are stiff just like factory.

From experience, KYB all the way! Had a set of tokico's, at the time I thought they were awesome, since 3 of the struts that came on the car were blown... after a couple years the tokico's were dead and now I have KYB. I couldn't tell ya if there was a difference in the firmness of the ride (since I swapped springs before the KYB) but I do think these KYB struts are better made..... just an opinion :D hope it helps. KYB is cheaper too, check out rockauto.com

I would have to agree with the price. to be completely honest in the ride of them I didn't find to much of a difference, I had KYB in the winter mx3. and I have TOK in the summer. But like you said its an opinion. Opinions are like a-- Hol*s everyone has one

I bought kyb struts to fit with eibach drop springs, satisfied but problems aren t about it !
As i said in another topic, think about camber plates ... i changed kyb's camber plate twice in 20 000 kms ...
