Who needs power steering when you can have manual.

The belt I used for the power steering delete was Dayco part number 5040295. It's a 4 rib 29.5" belt. I'm adding the info to the how to post as well.

i atempted what youve done only i wasnt sucessful do to time constraints
my issue was that i pulled the 323 gtx rack(may be diff) and everything fit except the steering column shank (was too short)
did you have this issue? if so how did you fix it


( got a $200 steering rack just sitting here so im eager to know)

I had no problem with the steering column shank. It all pooped right in. I've been daily driving the car lately just make sure all is well. No problems so far.

I don't think my rack was from a GTX. I'm pretty sure it was from the base model.

If that doesn't answer your question just post again and I'll try to be a little more precise.

well it might make a difference bein as the gtx was awd so i probly do need the base model but the year i got it from only had the manual in the awd so ill probly do the same years as listed
what brand was yours? i spent about 200 on an atsco but they want 300 for the new one and of course i cant get a refund on this one :C

It was a remanufactured one. The box says CV Unlimited. I put a link to the ebay auction in one of my earlier posts in the thread. The part # was 9610.
