Hella Bi-Xenon through an Mx-3 Lens (modified)

Post by Taras »

So, this is extremely premature, but for those that have been remotely interested in improving their Mx-3's night vision. This is a picture of a beam on the wall of a single Hella Bi-Xenon projector that is inside an Mx-3 Headlight with an Mx-3 lens in front of it that has been modified to let the beam through undistorted with the least amount of glare above the cut-off. The wall is rather unfortunate for these kind of shots, but that is what I had at the time of playing. It should be higher up a bit. Distance is about 25ft/7.5m taken at night with flash off on automode with auto white balancing. Anyway, this is just a snap shot of what I hope will become a decent set up for my Mx-3. Definitely still working on it.

Looks awesome!

What did you end up using for your front lens?

Headlight is still not in the car. I think this is the last thing that will happen and wiring. Still playing with positioning and cosmetics. Eugene, I used my stock Mx-3 lenses. Well, they are clear now, though.
