Need some help! last year i ordered a Chip from ryan but it never came... After a few e-mail and no reply's i take it he's not making them anymore... Does anyone know where i can buy one ? It's for a MX-3 KL-ZE Straightneck. Cheers!

I thought the kl31/36 were used for the straight neck and probinator was just for the curved.

Probinator is used to chip the K8 ECU for for use on either straight or curved neck ZE..

Search for stroker100 on probetalk. He also makes them.

i ordered one alittle after you igor. waited three months, probinator kept saying it was on the way but never came. icalled paypal and they gave back my payment.

Ouch that sucks guys. I guess I'm fortunate. Didn't have a problem with him when I was dealing with him, we must have had like a billion emails going back and forth.

he must of made quite a bit of coin on the side for i think what i paid was 35 bucks a chip
i should start making one so people call it a bornsticky chip

Hey Igor, that guy you got the free ZE from flashed a few chips from the Maps on the probinator chip. Should ask how it's done then you could be the new probinmaker.

I just happen to have a Probinator chipped ECU not in use off a 93 MX3.

is the stoker chip any different from probinator's chip?

my stoker100 runs better then my probinator did. i dont know if the vris points were more accurate but the rpm maps in relation to throttle pressure became much smoother. that being said it throws the egr code. he said he deleted the programming for the egr but there must be some code in there he cant find. i havnt confirmed it but i think it just needs an input from the egr position sensor, and that it doesnt actually care where it is.

i also realized the last post is a month old. dunno if anyone cares but thats my input between the two.

Is you CEL on all the time or is the code just stored in the ECU? My Probinator doesn't turn on the light but the code is always in there. Also do you have Stoker's email?

The ECU is soon going to become the limiting factor in doing a ZE swap. Probinator is pretty much out of business and if you can't get ahold of Stroke100 you will need a KL31/36 or you're stuck with the K8 ECU.

ya it throws the cel light. but it comes on instantly. when i plugged in my egr it went away. however with the de ecu/vaf im running atm i get a egr position sensor code that comes on after cruising for a while. im not quite sure why im getting the code with the de ecu as its wired up and has proper vacuum.

Anyone with a 1996 can do the swap and use their stock ECU. Of course there's mega squirt.
