Im going to have to ask nicely give up on anything related to the K8DE. Its a terrible motor when it comes to power period.

Unless your engine is low mileage chances are using Nos you will blow your engine. IMO

I know you believe that you understand what you think I said but I'm sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

Then just ensure it stays reliable and stack your paper. Then you can get the best of the best and not do a half a-- swap. Speed will come. Just have to hold out. No need wasting your money because if your not repairing the K8DE or trying to get better reliability out of it you might as well mail me all your pay checks. Ill put them to better use lol

500 for a NOS kit.. less than 500 for a JY 2.5DE.. 50-80 HP gain with the NOS (direct port or 100 shot kit).. 40ish hp gain with the DE. using back yard mechanics HP figures.. yeah I would do something else. But if you must go NOS save yourself some time and get a wet kit. A wet single fogger kit will be the easiest on your motor if there is such a thing when it comes to NOS.
